Being Prepared for Emergencies

In the event someone goes into sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), it's important to be prepared. SCA victims can be saved in most cases if they are treated with immediate CPR and defibrillation, an electric shock to the heart that eliminates the abnormal rhythm and enables the heart to resume its normal rhythm, within 7 to 10 minutes.
